Our Operational Team

Hazel Behan
Co-Founder | Advocate & Survivor
Hazel Behan is a Co-Founder of Éist and a survivor of rape. Her professional background includes extensive work with marginalised members of our communities, particularly those impacted by addiction, drug misuse, and systemic inequality, alongside advocacy and support roles.
As a survivor, Hazel brings invaluable personal insight to her work, allowing her to meet clients with deep empathy, understanding, and authenticity. Her mission is to ensure that Éist delivers the service she herself needed in the aftermath of her own trauma - one that centres dignity, safety, and survivor-led care.

Bairbre Kelly
Co-Founder | Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Bairbre Kelly is a Co-Founder of Éist, a practising counsellor and psychotherapist, and the founder of Therapists Against Harm. She brings a wealth of knowledge to her role, grounded in both professional expertise and lived experience.
Honest to her core, Bairbre is deeply passionate about supporting people to reach their full potential while learning to live alongside the trauma they have endured. Her work is rooted in compassion, integrity, and a firm belief in the power of trauma-informed care. Bairbre's mission is to ensure that victims and survivors are met with the highest standard of trauma-informed support - the very least they deserve.
Rebecca Tallon de Hallivand - Éist Ambassador

We are deeply honoured to welcome Rebecca Tallon de Havilland as an Ambassador for Éist Saying No to Silence.
Rebecca is a trailblazer, advocate and powerful voice for justice, inclusion and human dignity. As Ireland's first openly transgender television presenter, she has used her platform with courage and compassion - speaking out for trans and LGBTQ+ communities, people living with HIV, and victims and survivors of sexual violence.
Rebecca's journey has been marked by extraordinary resilience. In the face of immense personal challenges, she has continued to stand tall, not only fighting for her own right to live authentically, but helping countless others find the strength to do the same. Her advocacy has opened doors, challenged stigma, and reminded so many people that they are not alone.
At Éist, our mission is to create safer spaces, amplify voices that have too often been silenced, and encourage the difficult but necessary conversations that lead to change. Rebecca embodies these values wholeheartedly.
Having her join us as an Ambassador is both a privilege and a responsibility we hold with great pride. We are inspired by her courage, we learn from her wisdom, and we are proud to stand alongside her as we continue our work together.
Advocacy & Shared Vision
Together, Bairbre, Hazel, a host of passionate Éist volunteers & aligning organisations are vocal advocates for systemic change in public policy and legislation. They campaign tirelessly for meaningful reform, striving for better protections, supports, and outcomes for some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

Board of Management
Our Board of Management provides independent oversight and strategic guidance, operating distinctly from the day-to-day operational management of the organisation.
The Operational Team manages the day-to-day operations, executes the strategy set by the Board, and is responsible for achieving business objectives.
