Éist – Saying No To Silence
On 25th November 2025, we take to the streets for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Meeting at 5:30pm, City Hall, Dublin 2.
We stand together — united, visible, and unafraid.
This is more than a walk.It's a movement.It's a voice.It's us, collectively, Saying No To Silence.
- Wear red lipstick — a symbol of strength and defiance.For generations, women have worn red lipstick as an act of rebellion — from suffragettes marching for the right to vote, to women reclaiming their power in the face of control and silence. It is a bold statement that says: we will not be muted. (Non-lipstick wearing folks can wear red to show their support )
- Bring your light — torches, battery-powered fairy lights, candles Together we will shine a light on gender-based violence, illuminating truth, courage, and solidarity as we march together through the streets of our country's capital city.
This is more than a walk.

Following the success of the Zero Tolerance campaign in Dublin, Éist Saying No To Silence is proud to bring this vital initiative to the Midlands.
Our goal is simple but powerful — to create a community where violence and abuse are never tolerated, and everyone can live free from fear.
By introducing the Zero Tolerance campaign here, Éist aims to:
- Build stronger local partnerships between services, organisations, and community groups to ensure coordinated, effective responses.
Zero tolerance starts with each of us.
Learn more, get involved, and help us make the Midlands a place where everyone feels safe and valued.

Fundraising Bag Pack
Special thanks to Buckleys Supervalu for allowing us to hold a fundraising bag pack on the 14th & 15th of November 2025. All proceeds raised over the weekend will go directly towards keeping our doors open and provide essential, free services to those who need it most.

Éist: Cuppa & Chats
We're starting something new! Join us every Monday from the 13th October 2025 @ 12pm in our office on Bishops Gate Street, Mullingar for a relaxing, informal get-together. (*excluding bank holidays)
A cuppa and a chat with others who get it.
This space is especially for fellow victims/survivors – no expectations, no pressure, just connection.

September 2025
Fundraising Collection
Éist will hold an information day & fundraiser in Harbour Place Shopping Centre, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath on Saturday 27th of September 2025 from 9am till 6pm.
Pop down to have a chat, get some information and support our cause.
Massive thanks to Denis and all the staff and businesses at Harbour Place for allowing us the space to hold our fundraiser, we really appreciate it.
**UPDATE: Thank you to all who donated on the day - we raised a whopping €558.70 (and a trolley token!)
August 2025
Bucket Collection Mullingar
We held a bucket collection in Mullingar Town on 30/08/2025 to end our August fundraising. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side. Despite being given a loan of a fantastic gazebo (cheers Carlsberg) the weather won out in the end. Hazel and Sandra decided to end the event early before the gazebo flew away (think Dorothy in Oz). As a result, our fundraising day was not as successful as we had hoped financially but we did have the opportunity to speak with some wonderful people who braved the weather on the day. We had some really insightful conversations surrounding consent, the opinions of young people, the need for such a service in the Midlands and some fantastic pointers on what people would like Éist to provide/facilitate going forward. We also received a much needed donation of a printer/scanner from a fantastic local tech business, Retech IT, which we are absolutely over the moon with. It certainly lifted our spirits. Our day ended with a beautiful double rainbow which was a wonderful full stop to a pretty blustery day.
Information day & Fundraiser
Éist - Saying No To Silence is holding a pop-up information and fundraising day on Saturday 30/08/2025 from 12:00pm - 6:00pm, Market Square, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

Huge thanks to Blueballs Midlands, Blueballs Ireland & Dips Don't Lie for organising a fantastic fundraising coffee morning & dip to raise much needed funds for Éist.
It was a wonderful morning, helped greatly by the weather.
Thank you to everyone who showed up in support - the organisers, the dippers, the cheerleaders, the quiet supporters in the background, those who showed up even if it took everything just to get out of bed. We see you. We honour you. We are grateful to you.
